The Democrat National Committee recently passed a resolution that embraces secularism and criticized traditional religious values. The resolution was applauded by the Secular Coalition of America, an organization that lobbies on behalf of atheists, agnostics and humanists in public policy. The resolution was unanimously passed at the DNC’s summer meeting on Aug. 24 in San Francisco, California.

Sarah Levin, director of governmental affairs for the Secular Coalition for America said, “America was founded as a secular government charged with representing and protecting the freedoms of people of all faiths and none – I am proud to see the Democratic Party take that to heart by bringing secular Americans into the fold”  

She could not be more wrong… Quite simply it is a myth that America was founded on secular humanistic philosophy.

The Democrat party is no longer walking away from God, they are running and becoming increasingly hostile towards people of faith. During his Presidential run in 2008 and expressing his frustration with some American voters Barack Obama said: “And it’s not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.” A common tactic deployed by many politicians is to assume that every problem must be addressed with  Government programs emanating from Washington and those that disagree are bitter.

During the 2012 Democratic convention, Democratic National Convention chairman Antonio Villaraigosa was booed by delegates after a resolution was pushed through inserting the words “God-given” into the party platform along with recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

Today all of the Democrat party Presidential hopefuls embrace abortion, some right up to the last minute. This is chilling
